The highly anticipated Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, has yet to release its first trailer, despite filming concluding in September. This unusual delay raises questions about the series' promotional strategy.
In an unusual move for the Game of Thrones franchise, the A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms trailer still hasn't been released. The next of many planned Game of Thrones spinoffs, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is slated for release on HBO and Max sometime in 2025, though no firm date, nor even a month, has been confirmed. Based on George R.R. Martin's The Tales of Dunk and Egg books, this will be a very different kind of prequel compared to House of the Dragon.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms's story has several Targaryens, yes, but otherwise it will be considerably lighter in tone and smaller in scale, following Dunk and Egg on adventures throughout the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. Though filming wrapped on season 1 back in September, not a lot has been shown of the series, beyond its inclusion in a couple of'coming to Max' trailers, which amount to only a few seconds of footage. There's not yet been an official teaser trailer, and that is quite surprising. A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms' Trailer Should've Released By Now Game Of Thrones & House Of The Dragon Suggest As Much Predicting the release of TV trailers is typically a lot harder than doing so for movies, since they're often a bit more random and less tied to major tentpole releases like their big screen counterparts. Still, there is some reasonable logic for looking at when the first A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms trailer should be released.
