The school board has launched an investigation after a viral video showed a California teacher in blackface as the rapper Common.
"Blackface paint has a historical and present-day connotation of racism that demeans those of African ancestry," the memo read while linking to a History.com page about the."The act was disparaging to our students, parents, colleagues and the Milpitas community we serve."
