The medal ceremony for that event was delayed for"legal reasons," later found to be referring to Valieva's positive test.
Valieva tested positive for trimetazidine at the Russian national championships in December, which she went on to win. That test was administrated by the Russian Anti-Doping Agency , which subsequently imposed a provisional ban on Valieva when it received the test results on Feb. 8. However, Valieva challenged the ban on Feb. 9 and RUSADA made the decision to lift it that same day.
The ITA, on behalf of the International Olympic Committee, is now appealing RUSADA's decision to lift Valieva's provisional ban. For now, Valieva would is still eligible to compete at the Games; should CAS overturn RUSADA's decision, she would be ineligible.
