She says her client asked her to record herself smashing the cake on video instead of picking it up. She also offered her an extra $100 for the cake annihilation video.
“I told her, b----, we gonna do one better. ”“Jonathan, it’s Julie with The Sweet Hustle. Just want to wish you a happy birthday,” she says.
“Had so much fun making this cake for your party tonight. It’s just one thing. Cheaters, Jonathan, we don’t like cheaters. ” The cake goes up in flames with shocking, yet satisfying ease, and the frosting bubbles and blackens.
It’s like the“Baby, I thought I was Angela Bassett, b----. If I could have filmed a walk-off with the cake exploding, that would have been every-f----ing-thing I needed,” Fradella says.
“Moral of the story: Stop playing with people, OK? ””-inspired disposal of both cake and man garnered hundreds of thousands of views, and the comments section is filled with applause. Fradella says the cake was almond-flavored, which is popular in Louisiana, and meant to feed 75 people. It cost her client $600, but she paid for it, so the baker did what she asked.
“They ordered the cake initially in December, they said he was having this big ball, a sneaker ball, but it was all-black-everything with hints of gold,” Fradella tells TODAY.com, adding that he was the one who designed the party and cake — but the girlfriend paid for it. “She was like, ‘Well, actually, can I pay you $100 and you smash it? ’ I was like, ‘Wait, wait,’” she says.
“She didn’t go into details on how she found out that he cheated, she was just like, ‘He cheated, and he’s really worried about this cake, but he’s not getting this cake. ’” Fradella says, after her pyric performance, she disposed of the remaining pile of ash in the dumpster, which likely made some critters’ week.
She hasn’t heard back from the client since, but she thinks she was satisfied; either way, the arsonist act got her some new clients — several women.
“I even got a big old wedding request from a lady,” Fradella says. “She’s getting married in July. She said she’s flying out here to New Orleans and she was like, ‘I saw what you did with that burn cake and I love a girl’s girl. ’”Jesse D.
