The Star Wars: Timelines book has been vital to mapping out the franchise’s past, helping to bring to light the full history of the Millennium Falcon.
Chief among Star Wars' vast amount of iconic ships is the Millennium Falcon, with the recent Star Wars: Timelines book helping to outline the freighter's history. The book - written by Kristin Baver, Jason Fry, Cole Horton, Amy Richau, and Clayton Sandell - is dedicated to mapping out the entire history of Star Wars in one place.
The film ends with Han and Chewbacca having obtained the Falcon and flying to Tatooine to begin working for Jabba the Hutt. As is known from the Star Wars original trilogy, Han had possession of the ship across all three films. This lasted until a few decades after Return of the Jedi when the Falcon was reintroduced through Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Jakku.
How Han Solo Lost The Falcon At some point between 4ABY - when Return of the Jedi takes place - and the onset of The Force Awakens in 34ABY, Han lost the Falcon. During The Force Awakens, Han explains that the Falcon was stolen from him by a man named Gannis Ducain. In the comic book Star Wars Adventures #18 by Michael Moreci, it was explained that Ducain became Solo's co-pilot for a mission to Christophsis while Chewbacca was visiting his family.
The Force Awakens then has Han and Chewie use the ship for the film's runtime, as one last swan song before Han's death at the hands of Kylo Ren at the end of the movie. After this, the ship is primarily used by Rey. In Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rey flies the ship to Ahch-To so that she can begin training with Luke Skywalker. At the end of The Last Jedi, the Falcon was piloted by Rey and Chewie during the Battle of Crait.
