Friday's showers follow Thursday's, which dropped up to three-quarters of an inch of rain around San Antonio.

Traffic moves along Bandera Road as a steady rain falls throughout San Antonio, Thursday, April 6, 2023.A disturbance coming in from the west today will bring a tenth of an inch of rain to three quarters of an inch, according to the National Weather Service.

"It all depends on where the system sets up," said Andrew Quigley, a meteorologist with NWS in New Braunfels."There is more rainfall coming and some of the locations around the San Antonio metropolitan area can expect more rainfall than others. Today's continued showers and thunderstorms follow Thursday's precipitation, when there was up to three-quarters of an inch of rain around San Antonio. However, those more heavily affected trended north, while the southern parts of the metro area, including the South Side, were"noticeably light," according to Quigley.

"Those types of totals increase as you move further north into Hill Country," Quigley said."The rain hasn't treated everyone equally, but between now and and say tomorrow morning, all of Bexar County should be in for another tenth to three-quarters inch of rain. "Severe weather, including strong winds and hail, should be gone for good from this system, however, Quigley added.
