Set for Sept. 24th, check out the new images for Netflix and Showrunner Felicia Pride's Maleah Joi Moon-starring A Different World. Netflix’s A Different World sequel premieres September 24, bringing Hillman College back for a new generation.
Maleah Joi Moon stars as Deborah, daughter of Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, forging her own path at Hillman. The A Different World sequel follows Deborah’s freshman year as she steps out of her famous parents’ shadow. Original stars including Jasmine Guy and Kadeem Hardison return as Hillman’s legacy meets a fresh class of faces.sequel series.
In addition, the news came down that class would officially be back in session on Sept. 24th. Now, we're getting a look at the new and familiar faces set to appear in the series with the release of an official image gallery. Moon's Deborah is the free-spirited, well-intentioned yet rebellious youngest child of's original characters, Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert.
The series follows Deborah as she begins her freshman year at her HBCU alma mater and struggles to escape the shadow of her parents. She sets out to build her own legacy – while having the time of her life – alongside a whole new generation of Hillman's best and brightest.
