For anyone committed to a 9-to-5 schedule, the job of Hollywood producer is something to avoid, at least if Lauren Neustadter’s daily routine is anything to go by
. As head of film and television for Reese Witherspoon’s multimedia company, Hello Sunshine, Neustadter, 40, begins a typical day in December at 4:30 a.m. reading scripts.
After dropping off her kids at school, she digs into a packed schedule that doesn’t end until 7:30 p.m.—on a good night. But Neustadter doesn’t mind the long days. “Getting to tell stories that I’m deeply passionate about,” she says, “that’s a total dream.”
