Named after the owner's daughter, this custom Bugatti Mistral carries flower motifs and violet carbon inside and out
W16 Mistral Caroline wears a custom Lavender finish with violet-tinted carbon. Flower embroidery decorates the headrests, door panels, and transmission tunnel. The Mistral remains the final Bugatti to use the quad-turbo 8.
0-liter W16 engine. As the Mistral is the last Bugatti built with the famed quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16, one might expect owners to opt for simple finishes, eager to protect their investment for future resale. But, as we’re starting to see, that clearly isn’t the case. Read: When You’re That Rich, You Can Afford To Paint The World’s Fastest Convertible Like A Latte Yet another Mistral has just rolled out of Bugatti’s factory after being heavily customized through the Sur Mesure division. While the Mistral is a brutal sledgehammer in a world of exotics increasingly featuring electrification, the owner wanted one that was graceful and inspired by fields of lavender in Provence, France. The finished car, known as the W16 Mistral ‘Caroline,’ is just that. The exterior is bathed in a custom shade of Lavender, contrasting elements of exposed carbon fiber on the bumpers and side skirts. However, this is no ordinary carbon, but instead carbon with a shade of violet incorporated into it. A set of matching purple brake calipers has also been added. No doubt the highlight of this Mistral is the underside of the rear wing. It’s been painted white with flower motifs in purple and reads ‘Caroline,’ the name of the owner’s daughter. A Cabin Like No Other Of course, there’s no point having a Bugatti with a special paint job if you can’t also have one with a bespoke interior. That’s exactly what’s found here. Bugatti has wrapped the surfaces in Blanc and Minuit shades of leather with deep violet tones and the same violet carbon as found on the outside. Custom flower embroidery has then been added to the headrests, door panels, and transmission tunnel. As we’ve seen in other Mistrals, Bugatti’s ‘Dancing Elephant’ is featured in the shifter and encased in glass. According to the managing director of Bugatti, Hendrik Malinowski, this “car is of remarkable beauty and individuality – one that reflects Bugatti’s heritage of savoir-faire and innovation, and the unique story and graceful taste of its owner.” We couldn’t agree more. Now we just need to work out a way to afford a Mistral of our own https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_OxUpVN5QU
