Jimmy Savile's terrible acts have been revisited in BBC drama The Reckoning
The crimes of Jimmy Savile shocked the nation and have been brought back to the fore in new BBC drama The Reckoning with Steve Coogan starring as the shamed entertainer.
The real truth about the shamed entertainer, and his crimes, only truly came to light after his death. There’s been many difficult questions raised and now people look back on their seemingly innocent experiences with him in a different light.In a piece published by our colleagues at MEN, feature writer Simon Donohue has revisited an experience he had interviewing Savile back in 2005.
Simon explained: “One of the things that fascinated me most was his relationships. Had he never wanted to settle down or marry? This was where his responses became more guarded and well-rehearsed. “He could make millions doing a 'kiss and tell', but his lawyers had dealt with better people than me when they'd asked particularly probing questions about his personal life. I should 'move on'.
