Buffalo City Metro in the Eastern Cape has been ordered by the East London High Court to ensure that the popular East London picnic site is clean and alcohol-free.
The East London High Court has ordered the Buffalo City Metro Municipality to ensure cleanliness, control, and that no alcohol is consumed at the popular Batting Bridge picnic site along the Nahoon River. The hangout spot, in the Beaconhurst suburb area, is popular among many East London revellers over the weekends. But local residents have complained of excessive noise and litter in the area.
