Highs will reach the mid-80s today, then 90s return tomorrow
After a 7-day heatwave, one record high, and several record warm lows, we finally get a break from the heat! A cold front passed early this morning, leading to clearing skies and falling humidity levels. Morning temperatures are in the low 70s.We'll see plentiful sunshine today, with highs in the mid-80s. Dew points will fall to the 50s, which will make it feel much more comfortable. Expect a 10-20 mph northwesterly breeze, diminishing this evening.
Tonight will be clear and comfortable, with lows around 64 degrees.Tuesday will feature sunshine and highs near 90, but it won't be humid, as high pressure sits overhead.By Wednesday, southerly winds will increase humidity levels. Ahead of a cold front, scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening. Heavy rain, damaging wind gusts, large hail, and an isolated weak tornado is possible. Highs will reach the low 90s.
