Sloan's Lake edition will run every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through September 24. As at the Lakewood edition, there will be plenty of food vendors and trucks on hand for the free-to-attend event.
Four Mile Historic Park, at 715 South Forest Street, is hosting a Plant Versus Protein Showdown. The event marks former Old Major owner Justin Brunson's first time cooking for the public since his restaurant closed in 2020. He'll be serving up the protein contender against Gladys chef David Grant., include a welcome beverage and ten tickets for food-truck bites. A VIP option includes an open bar and free parking. There will also be live music from Eric Golden and the Honky Tonk Band.
Dos Luces Brewery at 1236 South Broadway is celebrating its four-year anniversary from noon to 10 p.m. The festivities include the tapping of a special anniversary gueuze-inspired imperial pulque, vertical tastings led by owner and brewmaster Judd Belstock, and voting for the fan favorite Slushy Saturday featured flavor.
