A Dundee letter to the editor: We've lived in this area for 35 years. This year was the absolute worst when it came to people setting off fireworks.
We've lived in this area for 35 years. This year was the absolute worst when it came to people setting off fireworks.
I spent 1967 to '71 in the Air Force. I know the sound of large explosives. I hear more than a few last Tuesday that have to be in the category of the largest you can buy. Blasting out the neighborhood does not demonstrate that you're a patriot. It shows that you are inconsiderate of those families with very small children, some veterans , some families with pets that are terrified of these fireworks. Since you don't aim those fireworks, what are you going to do when you set someone else's house on fire?
If fireworks are truly that big of a deal to you, try giving them to the local communities for their fireworks displays.
