Musician A.B. Quintanilla, brother to the late Tejano star, was hospitalized in Bolivia due to lung issues. He posted on social media he's 'doing fine no
Rest easy, A.B. Quintanilla fans. The musician and brother of the late Tejano artist Selena is “doing fine now” after being rushed to a hospital in Bolivia following a Tuesday night performance in the South American country. Quintanilla shared the news on social media, where he revealed he was “feeling strange” near the end of a show in Santa Cruz and headed to an emergency room. He noted he was admitted for dehydration, only to learn he had fluid in his right lung.
The post's caption read: “This is the kind of love that keeps me pushing forward. I’m feeling back to my old self and ready to move on to the next show!” The health scare comes just months after Quintanilla joined an initiative to raise mental health awareness following what he called a bipolar episode. In April, the musician lit into a crowd at the Tejano Explosion festival in San Antonio with a profane rant that accused them of having a lukewarm reaction to his performance.
