Ohio police say they now believe they know who killed Bradley Bellino.

Werth said his department identified Hill as the suspect following a series of DNA tests performed on Bellino’s clothes. Werth also credited former chief, Jeffrey Patterson, who reopened the case in 2001 and sent Bellino’s clothes to the state’s Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation where it was discovered that they had DNA on them that did not belong to the child.

Werth said that the DNA tests say that there is a 98.2% chance that the DNA on those clothes belonged to Hill. While Hill is dead, Werth said that they made the information public because they want to know if any other people in the township had contact with him. He also said that police in California are looking into whether Hill could be connected to cases there.
