It will be the Buena Park-based company’s 58th location, with a grand opening set for 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb 11.
Founded in 1984, Tawa Supermarket, Inc. owns the 99 Ranch Market chain and touts itself as the “Gateway to Asia.” The stores offer a variety of everyday staples, including fresh produce, live seafood, popular snacks, delicacies and items that are near impossible to find in conventional supermarkets.
Tawa Supermarket Group CEO Alice Chen said the company’s mission is to provide customers with “high-quality products at competitive prices.” The first 100 customers on Saturday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb. 12 with a same-day purchase receipt and redemption voucher will receive a $20 gift card. On Saturday there will also be a lion dance, a bluefin tuna cutting show and other promotions and activities
