Two women were rescued from a potential human trafficking operation in Lake Worth Beach after a distressed 911 call led authorities to a residence where they were being held against their will. Two suspects, both from Guatemala and in the US illegally, have been arrested and face multiple charges.
A woman's distressed 911 call led to the discovery of a possible human trafficking operation in a Lake Worth Beach home, where two women were found being held against their will. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) received the desperate call at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday from a woman who claimed she had been confined against her will for several days. While she couldn't pinpoint her location, she indicated she was trapped in a house with two men.
Responding deputies searched the area for any suspicious activity and observed two men, Yudvin Zunigalatin, 27, and Glin Zunigalatin, 30, behaving oddly outside a residence on the 1400 block of Lake Avenue. Upon further investigation, deputies confirmed a woman was inside the house. They entered the premises and found two victims who were allegedly part of the human trafficking operation. Both women were reported to have been recruited under false pretenses and forced into commercial sex work. Yudvin has been charged with two counts of human trafficking, living off the earnings of a prostitute, and using property for prostitution. Glin faces more serious charges, including two counts of human trafficking, sexual assault by a person older than 18, living off the earnings of a prostitute, using property for prostitution, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and resisting an officer without violence. The PBSO revealed that both suspects are in the United States illegally from Guatemala, and ICE detainers have been placed on them
