Joy Maravillas, head of the disaster risk reduction and management office, said in a report that as of 10:30 p.m., 228 families or 695 persons from Barangay Maninila and 61 families or 215 individuals from Barangay Tandarora were housed in Guinobatan Community College Evacuation Center.
Maravillas said the pre-emptive evacuation started at 6 p.m. in the said villages identified as lahar and flood prone. Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said that “Amang” slightly weakened after it made landfall in the vicinity of Panganiban town in Catanduanes at around 10 p.m.Pagasa hoisted the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1.
