The general consensus is that some pairs on 90 Day: The Last Resort didn't need to be on it. For example, Yara and Jovi married years ago and formed a beautiful family. They are a regular couple with common marital issues that don't need therapy. There is no reason for the two to join the new spin-off show, as they have a perfectly normal relationship. Similarly, Angela and Michael didn't need to be on the new spin-off because they have no future.

The two were only together for a few years but managed to impress viewers with trust and friendship. After Kim and Usman announced their break-up during 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days season 5 Tell All, they stayed friends. The two have since defended each other and shown mutual respect on social media.
