Nine people were arrested and more than $6,000 in stolen property was recovered after multiple agencies worked to combat organized retail theft in the area. The Taylorsville Police Department collaborated with the Ogden, West Valley, and Sandy police departments, as well as the Utah State Fire Marshal's Office, the Utah Attorney General's Office, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, on a "retail theft blitz," TVPD said.
TVPD also partnered with several private businesses including Target, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, and Burlington.Juvenile taken into custody after string of aggravated robberies in Bountiful Several of the arrests were linked to multiple thefts across Salt Lake and Davis counties, including five active cases in Taylorsville, TVPD said, highlighting "the importance of partnerships in protecting businesses and our community."
