A record-high 89% of Filipinos are satisfied with the way democracy works in the Philippines, according to a survey conducted by the SWS for the fourth quarter of 2022. | SAbrogarINQ
SWS also reported that two-thirds of Filipinos would choose democracy over other forms of government, but 26% would prefer authoritarianism in some circumstances.
Only 15% of Filipinos said that it personally “does not matter whether we have a democratic or a non-democratic regime.” The Fourth Quarter 2022 survey was conducted from December 10-14. According to SWS, 1,200 adults were interviewed, 300 each from Metro Manila, Balance Luzon , Visayas, and Mindanao.
