Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal on Sunday refused to share with the media details of his meeting with JUI-F chief Fazlur

“We cannot share all the details of the meeting with you,” Mengal said in response to a question from a reporter. He said that he has personal relations with Fazl and his party is sitting on the opposition benches alongside JUI-F in Balochistan. He said that JUI-F has its presence in entire Pakistan.

In response to a question about being part of the opposition, Mengal said he was in talks with the opposition parties and his party was moving closer to the opposition parties. He said he would run the opposition like a true opposition if his party joins the opposition. He said the state, state institutions and the government should say it outright if they feel that BNP-M’s demands are not justified.

Fazl said he has welcomed BNP-M’s decision to part ways with the federal government led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf . He said that Mengal’s decision to quit the government has created a new ray of hope for the opposition. He said that other coalition partners of theshould also follow into the footsteps of the BNP-M. He said that PTI’s coalition partners should say what is right without any fear.

Fazl said he was hopeful that Mengal would contact other coalition partners of the government and convince them that this was not the time to stand by the government. He said that Pakistan has sunken and popularity of the government is now in the negative zone after collapse of the economy. He said the prime minister did not know that his own popularity had reached negative zone.
