The Dallas region had the most Texas companies on the list with 188, followed by Austin with 135.

"Texas is a big winner overall," said Eric Hagerman, an editor at Inc. He noted that Dallas is known for companies in the health care, technology, finance and defense sectors, while Austin had a number of tech, advertising and marketing firms on the Inc. 5000. Six consumer products companies made the Inc. 5000. SunHaven, an online outdoor furniture retailer whichfrom California during the pandemic, showed the most growth at No. 691. Other local consumer products companies to be recognized are Distinct Stone Solutions, Ledge Lounger, PF WaterWorks, Advance LED Solution and Food Huggers.
