ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has called Director General Federal Investigation Agency on the next hearing in the suo motu notice of insulting statement against judges of the highest court.
A division bench of SC headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed heard the Agha Iftakharuddin video suo motu notice case. During the course of the hearing, Chief Justice said to Attorney General, what is all this happening, to which, later replied that he has seen this matter and Judge’s wife has forwarded an application in the police station while the police have sent the matter to the FIA while the agency has started action under the electronic crime.Latter, the court issuing notice to Maulvi Iftikhar Uddin and called the DG FIA in the court on the next hearing while the hearing of the case adjourned till July 2.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Justice of Pakistan had taken suo motu notice on Iftakharuddin Mirza insulting video against judges and judiciary.
