‘I draw great strength from her example’: King Charles pays tribute to late Queen during speech
The King praised the “extraordinary potential” of the Commonwealth and paid tribute to his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II’s particular pride for Commonwealth Day. “In succeeding Her Majesty as Head of the Commonwealth, I draw great strength from her example,” King Charles said. “Together with all that I have learnt from the extraordinary people I have met throughout the Commonwealth over so many years.”
