AVON, Ohio — A hot dog with lemonade is the unofficial meal of summer, and the Telos Food Truck is aiming to make it easier to enjoy those classics all year round., with locations in Avon, Fairview Park and Strongsville. Greater Cleveland locals Nick Kudej, his wife Kayla Kudej and brother Alexi Kudej decided to transform one of the 808 Shave Ice trucks into the Telos concept starting with the 2024 summer season.
The food truck owners plan to expand the menu with more elevated toppings inspired by regional hot dog styles, from cheese sauce to onions. “So we don’t have the same issues that normal food trucks have,” Nick said, citing different inspections and safety requirements for an electric truck. “It does make it easier.” The owners looked to their Greek heritage to name the truck, with the word “Telos” translating to an end, purpose or goal. Nick sees it as a multi-dimensional meaning. In the short term, the truck hopes to serve a purpose to eradicate hunger for its customers.
