8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT: Canned tuna sold at Walmart, Publix and Kroger stores in Alabama has been recalled because of a botulism risk.
This recall also includes several other brands of canned tuna that were sold at stores in other states outside of Alabama. Tri-Union Seafoods of El Segundo, California, is recalling certain lots of tuna sold under the Genova, Van Camp’s, H-E-B and Trader Joe’s brand names, the FDA says. The affected products have retail codes listed in the recall notice and best-by dates in 2027 and 2028.Trader Joe’s label – Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C., and WisconsinGenova 5 oz.
