Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT More than two years after All of Us Are Dead premiered on Netflix, rewatching the show ahead of season 2 reveals some harsh truths about the hit zombie K-drama. One of the best Netflix original K-dramas, All of Us Are Dead was based on the webtoon Now In Our School. Set in the fictional city of Hyosan, the series follows a group of students as they try to survive the zombie apocalypse that had just started in their school.
Fortunately, All of Us Are Dead’s love triangle did not last long. Although Su-hyeok accepted meeting On-jo later, he never actually had feelings for her. They remained as friends, which was for the best. Su-hyeok was in love with Nam-ra, who did not have a lot of friends at the school. Although Cheong-san only told On-jo how he felt at the end of the show, it’s clear that she also liked him but did not realize they were becoming more than just friends.
Eun-ji was attacked by a horde of zombies, yet she survived. The character became one of All of Us Are Dead’s hambies, which are zombies who retain their consciousness and can still live as humans. Still, hambies crave human brains just like every other zombie, meaning now Eun-ji had the urge to attack others. Eun-ji’s zombie transformation combined with all the anger she had made her into one of the show’s most dangerous characters.
Despite Na-yeon’s actions, their teacher, Park Sun-hwa, decided to go after her. Sun-hwa didn’t want her Nae-yeon to die and believed the girl could still make up for her terrible mistake. The fact that Sun-hwa sacrificed herself for Nae-yeon to survive made it seem like there was going to be a redemption arc for the latter. Instead, Nae-yeon was killed by Gwi-nam shortly after the teacher died. Na-yeon’s death was anticlimactic and ruined what could have been a great character arc.
Related All Of Us Are Dead Season 2’s Perfect Story Would Make It A Very Different Show A popular All of Us Are Dead season 2 theory about the zombies would make the Netflix horror K-drama a very different show compared to season 1. As an experienced first responder, So-ju was ready for the zombie apocalypse and helped many people along the way. However, it came to a point where On-jo’s father had to make a choice – either he fulfilled his role as a first responder and tried to help as many people as he could, or he ignored everything and focused only on saving his daughter. So-ju chose the latter, and while he did help On-jo and her friends escape, he died right after it.
