8 deleted scenes from the three Star Wars prequel films would have improved the overall trilogy by highlighting characterization.
The Star Wars prequels could’ve looked a lot different and perhaps been improved if George Lucas had decided to include certain deleted scenes. While the prequels aren’t without issues, the cut scenes would have better tied the movies together, giving a better insight into the world of the Jedi before, during, and near the end of the Clone War.
7 Naboo Phantom Menace Scene Highlighted Jedi Skills A cut scene from The Phantom Menace showed Qui-Gon, his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Jar Jar Binks escaping from their underwater sub before it fell over a waterfall on the planet Naboo. The sequence further highlights Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan’s teamwork and capability as Jedi.
4 Ki-Adi-Mundi's Cut Attack Of The Clones Scene Showed His Power & Skill An extended version of the arena fight from Attack of the Clones highlighted Ki-Adi Mundi’s role in the battle. He was the one who found out that there was no central command to shut down the droid army and that they had to be beaten on an individual basis.
2 Qui-Gon's Force Ghost Was Originally More Prominent In Revenge Of The Sith A deleted scene from Revenge of the Sith showed Qui-Gon Jinn reaching out to Jedi Master Yoda as a Force ghost. Though the scene was cut, it did make its way into The Clone Wars season 6 as a story arc for Yoda. In this arc, Qui-Gon reaches out to Yoda, leading him on a spiritual journey that would mark the beginning of the Grand Master's learning to retain consciousness after death.
