A TOTAL of 8,647 people have been arrested for violating the movement control order , with 3,105 fined as of yesterday, said Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob. Yesterday alone, authorities arrested 1,471 people for violating the MCO, 949 of whom have been fined RM1,000 each, he said during a live broadcast from Putrajaya today.
