Northampton Fire and Rescue Service have repeated their warnings about the dangers of barbeques in the hot dry weather. It comes after a large wildfire in Northampton was found to be caused by a disposable barbeque.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the wildfire using sprayers and beaters. After putting the fire out, Northants Fire and Rescue said it was caused by "discarded disposable barbecues."Posting about the event on social media, the service repeated their warnings on the dangers of disposable barbeques in hot weather such as this. A spokesperson said: "In this weather, we would ask you to may be think again about having barbecues in public areas, parks and countryside.
