79-year-old man shot while sitting in car by someone who knocked on his window [Breaking]
San Diego police were investigating a shooting early Tuesday after a man was shot in his car and then drove about two miles to a fast-food restaurant in Pacific Beach to seek help.
Police responded to a McDonald’s restaurant on Mission Bay Drive near Garnet Avenue shortly after 5:10 a.m. and found a 79-year-old man suffering from through-and-through gunshot wounds to his upper torso and upper arms, San Diego police Officer David O’Brien said. The victim told police he was sitting in his car on Morena Boulevard, on the north side of Interstate 5 just south of Costco, when someone walked up to his car, knocked on his window and shot him.
