A team of researchers at KAIST University in South Korea has developed a revolutionary technology that can potentially treat colon cancer by transforming cancerous cells back into normal cells without destroying them.
به گزارش ایسنا، دانشگاه KAIST کره جنوبی در روز ۲۰ دسامبر اعلام کرد که یک گروه تحقیقاتی به رهبری پروفسور کوانگ هیون چو (Kwang-Hyun Cho) از بخش مهندسی زیست و مغز یک فناوری پیشگامانه توسعه دادهاند که میتواند سرطان روده بزرگ را با تبدیل سلولهای سرطانی به یک سلول عادی بدون از بین بردن آنها معالجه کند. بنابراین از عوارض جانبی جلوگیری میشود. به نقل از ساینسدیلی، محققان بر این مشاهدات متمرکز شدند که در طول فرآیند آنکوژن یا تومورزایی، سلولهای طبیعی در طول مسیر تمایز خود پسرفت میکنند.
با تکیه بر این یافتهها، آنها فناوری ایجاد یک دوقلوی دیجیتالی از شبکه ژنی مرتبط با مسیر تمایز سلولهای طبیعی را توسعه دادند. از طریق تجزیه و تحلیل شبیهسازی، این گروه به طور سیستماتیک سوئیچهای مولکولی اصلی را که باعث تمایز سلولی طبیعی میشوند، شناسایی کردند. هنگامی که این سوئیچها بر روی سلولهای سرطانی روده بزرگ اعمال شد، سلولهای سرطانی به حالت عادی بازگشتند؛ نتیجهای که از طریق آزمایشهای مولکولی و سلولی و همچنین مطالعات حیوانی تأیید شد. این تحقیق نشان میدهد که بازگشت سلولهای سرطانی به سلول عادی میتواند بهجای تکیه بر اکتشافات بینظیر، با تجزیه و تحلیل و استفاده از دوقلوی دیجیتالی شبکه ژنی سلول سرطانی، بهطور سیستماتیک به دست آید. این یافتهها نویدبخش توسعه درمانهای برگشتپذیر سرطان است که میتواند برای انواع مختلف سرطان اعمال شود. پروفسور کوانگ هیون چو اظهار کرد: این واقعیت که سلولهای سرطانی را میتوان به سلولهای طبیعی تبدیل کرد، یک پدیده شگفت انگیز است. این مطالعه ثابت میکند که چنین بازگشتی میتواند به طور سیستماتیک ایجاد شود. وی در ادامه تاکید کرد: این تحقیق مفهوم جدید درمان سرطان برگشت پذیر را با بازگرداندن سلولهای سرطانی به سلولهای طبیعی معرفی میکند. این مطالعه توسط وزارت علوم و فناوری اطلاعات و ارتباطات و بنیاد تحقیقات ملی کره حمایت شد.
