Lahore: Lahore High Court on Friday sacked Judge Arshad Malik who gave a verdict against former premier Nawaz Sharif.
He has been dismissed by the administrative committee of the LHC in a meeting which was held in the Chair of Chief Justice LHC, Justice Qasim Khan. Seven other judges of the LHC attended the administrative meeting which took a major decision against Judge Arshad Malik. The most senior judge Muhammad Ameer Bhathi, Justice Aisha A Malik, Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan and Justice Shujat Ali Khan attended the administrative meeting.Judge Arshad Malik, who had handed a jail term of seven years in the Al-Azizya reference to Nawaz Sharif was a judge of Islamabad accountability court, was first removed from the accountability court on the orders of Chief Justice Islamabad High Court.
