एजेंसी, नई दिल्ली| भारत और अमेरिका के बीच प्रस्तावित द्विपक्षीय व्यापार समझौते के पहले चरण पर चर्चा 10 दिसंबर से शुरू हो गई है। यह तीन दिवसीय वार्ता 12 दिसंबर को खत्म होगी। सूत्रों के मुताबिक यह औपचारिक दौर की वार्ता नहीं, बल्कि पहले चरण को अंतिम रूप देने की दिशा में एक अहम कदम है। अमेरिकी प्रतिनिधिमंडल का नेतृत्व उप संयुक्त राज्य व्यापार प्रतिनिधि रिक स्वित्जर कर रहे हैं। अगस्त में भारत के कई उत्पादों पर अमेरिका द्वारा 50% सीमा शुल्क लगाए जाने के बाद यह दूसरी बार है जब अमेरिकी दल इस मुद्दे पर बातचीत के लिए भारत आया है। इससे पहले 16 सितंबर को भी एक अमेरिकी टीम दिल्ली आई थी। छह दौर की बातचीत हो चुकी है अब तक भारत और अमेरिका इस समय दो अलग-अलग ट्रैक पर बातचीत कर रहे हैं। पहला- टैरिफ के असर को कम करने के लिए फ्रेमवर्क ट्रेड डील और दूसरा- दोनों देशों के बीच व्यापक और विस्तृत ट्रेड समझौते पर चर्चा। फरवरी में दोनों देशों के नेताओं ने अधिकारियों को समझौता तैयार करने के निर्देश दिए थे। अब तक इस पर छह दौर की बातचीत हो चुकी है। पहले फेज को फाइनल करना चाहते हैं देश इस पूरी कवायद का लक्ष्य 2030 तक दोनों देशों के बीच व्यापार को मौजूदा 191 अरब डॉलर से बढ़ाकर 500 अरब डॉलर से ज्यादा तक पहुंचाना है। वार्ता औपचारिक न होने के बावजूद इसे महत्वपूर्ण इसलिए माना जा रहा है क्योंकि दोनों देश पहले चरण को जल्द से जल्द फाइनल करना चाहते हैं, जिससे आगे की बड़ी ट्रेड डील का रास्ता साफ हो सके। यह भी पढ़ें- 'India-Russia तेल कारोबार 4 साल के लो लेवल पर', क्या बंद हो जाएगा सस्ता तेल? एक्सपर्ट बोले- खरीद कमजोर हुई लेकिन.
