The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday identified the victim as Timothy Wayne Thomas. He was 72.Authorities said he was the driver and only occupant of a 2023 Nissan Altima. Additional details of the circumstances surrounding the wreck were not released. Thomas was taken to UAB Hospital.
