A 71-year-old woman bravely fought off four teenage girls who attempted to rob her on the New York City subway. The incident occurred at Hoyt Station in Brooklyn on New Year's Day.

An unflinching 71-year-old woman defended herself against a group of four teenage girls who tried to mug her on the New York City subway on New Year's Day. The victim, identified as Linda Rosa, was on her way to a church service in Brooklyn when the teens attacked her at Hoyt Station. The suspects tried to steal Rosa's bag and punched and stomped on her during the robbery attempt. Rosa fought back, telling the New York Post she was determined not to be robbed.

She said one teen tried to grab her purse while another asked if she wanted to fight. When Rosa fell during the struggle, one of the teens stomped on her. Police released video of the suspects and are asking for the public's help in identifying them.
