Nearly 50 road projects totaling about $700 million are in the planning stages in the Huntsville metropolitan area.
But many of the projects listed by the Huntsville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization are still decades away from construction.
That is also the case with a $73.8 million Memorial Parkway project from Lakewood Road to Hollow Road which includes overpasses and service roads. That one isn’t slated to start until 2038 with completion in 2045.
