The work will require the removal of 317 trees that line the roadway. The closure is expected to begin on Tuesday.
North 145th Street in Shoreline, just north of Seattle, will be closed for the next seven months, beginning April 1, 2024, as work gets underway to replace the traffic lights at the intersection of I-5 to roundabouts. A lengthy road closure begins this week in Shoreline and will come at the expense of hundreds of trees to make way for anConstruction crews are getting ready for a seven-month shutdown of North 145th Street stretching from First Avenue Northeast to just east of I-5.
People who drive 145th should plan for additional travel time beginning Monday evening. The I-5 interchange will remain open but the overpass will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
