You can't buy a GT-R from Nissan these days, so the teams at Hot Wheels and 7-Eleven have filled the gap.

With a production run lasting just under 20 years, the R35-generation Nissan GT-R has earned its place as one of the most iconic and significant Japanese performance cars of all time.

While we’re all stuck waiting for the officialannouncement, Nissan has teamed up with the folks at 7-Eleven and Hot Wheels to help ease the lack of a full-size machine available on dealer lots. This is the Hot Wheels Silver Series GT-R, complete with a bespoke 7-Eleven-themed livery. 7-Eleven’s relationship with the automotive community goes back almost as long as the brand itself, but the real enthusiast tie-in comes from its foray into the Japanese market.

Not only is the shop the ideal place for a late-night snack run or meetup, the lighting has also proved to be popular with those looking for moody shots of their car. 7-Eleven has happily embraced this role in recent years, heavily embracing cars on social media. This year marks the second special collaboration between 7-Eleven andThis year's build is centered around a facelifted R35 and features more detail than your typical Hot Wheels model, matching its Silver Series branding.

That means the white base coat with 7-Eleven graphics pops, helped along by realistic looking taillights and proper badging up at the nose. It’s a great looking model, and one that any 1:64 scale collector would love to park in the garage. It’s also much more affordable than a proper GT-R, carrying a fitting price tag of just $7.11.

Fans will be able to purchase this Hot Wheels Silver Series 2017 Nissan GT-R via participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes store locations.
