ADPH is testing poultry workers in Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence and Lauderdale counties for TB.
The Alabama Department of Public Health says seven cases of confirmed or suspected tuberculosis have been reported among people who have worked in poultry plants in four Alabama counties.
Anyone who has worked in the poultry industry in those counties since June 2022, or is currently working there, is asked to be screened through a blood test. According to ADPH, the cases reported have not been limited to any particular racial or ethnic group.
