Almost seven in 10 Filipinos support the proposal to make the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program mandatory for Filipinos aged 18 and above, a survey conducted by the OCTA Research group said.
Across geographic areas, support for the proposal was highest among those in Mindanao , followed by those in Balance Luzon , Visayas and Metro Manila . Under the proposal, college students will be required to undergo citizen military training under NCST, while ROTC will remain optional.
