Islamabad administration decides to impose lockdown in five more localities
ISLAMABAD – The local administration on Monday has decided to impose smart lockdown in five more localities in Islamabad due to rapid increase in the novel coronavirus cases.
Only essential food items shops, medical stores, general stores, tandoors and emergency service shops will remain open in the hotspots. As per National Command and Operations Center data, more cases have been reported in Islamabad in last 24 hours, taking the toll of the infected COVID-19 persons to 11,219 in the city while the death toll reached 106.On the other hand, Pakistan has confirmed 105 deaths in a single day by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 185,034. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 3,695.
Sindh has become the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
