The Cleveland Clinic London Hospital is the health system’s latest step in the health system’s international expansion strategy.
British media was invited to tour the facility Tuesday.is an addition to a London outpatient facility that opened in 2021 and is part of an international footprint that includes facilities in Toronto, Canada, for executive health and sports medicine, and a 394-bed hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Cleveland Clinic London Hospital will provide comprehensive medical and surgical services, focusing on cardiovascular, digestive, neurological and orthopedic specialties, the Clinic said. It will employ state-of-the-art medical technology, such as a pharmacy robot that packages drugs, then track them as they are delivered to the patient’s bedside using bar codes.1. The health system signed a 123-1/2-year lease for 33 Grosvenor Place, an existing building that was converted into an eight-story, 325,000-square-foot hospital near Buckingham Palace.3. It employs 1,139 caregivers, including 270 physicians and 450 nurses.
5. This is the second Clinic facility to open in London. Cleveland Clinic Portland Place Outpatient Center, a six-story, 28,000-square-foot building, opened September 2021.to be finished in 2020, with the facility opening to patients in early 2021.
