According to Sinar Harian, the elephants got into the school grounds around 2am and destroyed classroom windows, the kitchen facilities in the classroom, and flower pots and plants around the school, such as the coconut and banana trees. Members of Unit Tindakan Gajah managed to chase the elephants back into the forest area by firing shots. It’s believed the elephants ventured out of their habitat in search of food.
The first breach happened in April and the elephants destroyed the back school gate and the walls of a remove classroom .
