A striped dinosaur roars in Jurassic World Rebirth

Jurassic World has grown as a franchise, and the animated TV shows have expanded the lore in so many exciting ways. The world of Jurassic Park started on the big screen, but it transitioned to the small screen.

As a dino fanatic and Jurassic Park lover since childhood, I knew I had to watch the animated shows. Surprisingly, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Jurassic World: Chaos Theory are the best things to happen to the franchise since the first trilogy. What’s more, the Netflix animated shows fill in many of the gaps of the Jurassic World trilogy. The stories introduce us to mostly new characters, namely the Nublar Six, who are absolutely lovable.

However, we also see a few familiar faces who weave in and out of the show. These story connections expand the lore in exciting ways. The Dinosaurs & Humans Didn’t Live Together In Peace Dinosaurs Cause Damage To The Human World After Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, dinosaurs were let out into the world to live alongside humans. Jurassic World Dominion presents it as if dinosaurs and humans have found a way to coexist peacefully.

The biggest problem was the locusts, not the dinosaurs. I hated the amount of time the movie spent on the locusts instead of the dinos, and I wasn't the only one. Most negative reviews of the film on Rotten Tomatoes bring up the locusts. Even Jurassic World: Chaos Theory took a dig at the locust plotline, with the exaspirated line, “Locusts?

Again with these things? ” To say it was disappointing was an understatement.

However, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is what Jurassic World Dominion should have been, expanding the lore by showing the real-world issues caused by dinosaurs living alongside people. The Mballo family relies on Geba to help protect their farm from dinosaurs that would ravage the whole place. An allosaurus kills Brooklynn and then rampages through Darius’s area. The T. rex in the introduction causes a car accident by running into the middle of the road.

The atrocoraptors are trained to kill. Ultimately, the second Jurassic World animated show was necessary to fix the lore issues with Jurassic World Dominion. It’s much more thrilling to see aggressive dinosaurs causing chaos instead of giant locusts ruining crops. Plus, there was no logical world in which dinosaurs and humans would be capable of living side by side.

Humans Formed Dinosaur-Free Communities Yaz Studies In A Dinosaur-Free Community To Treat Dino-Related PTSD One of the most interesting additions in Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is that the world didn’t universally accept dinosaurs living alongside them. Instead, groups of people formed dinosaur-free communities. Yaz is living on a dinosaur-free island in Wyoming at the start of the show, which is meant specifically for people with dinosaur-related PTSD.

What’s more, the issue of dinosaurs creating post-traumatic stress disorder is so prevalent that they have created an entirely new form of treatment called Dino Immersion Therapy for folks with dinosaur-related PTSD. It looks like a version of exposure therapy. Yaz studied while on the island to administer Dino Immersion Therapy using holographic dinosaurs. Luckily, it actually helps Yaz.

Unfortunately, her community only stays dinosaur-free until the atrociraptors follow the Nublar Six to the island. When Ben and Sammy show up to get her, the dinosaurs invade, causing chaos.

However, the existence of these communities is a sign that the dinosaurs caused enough fear and chaos that dinosaur-free zones were even necessary in the first place. Clearly, some humans would’ve rathered dinos not be let free at all. The Scorpios Rex Is The First Dinosaur Hybrid Mistake Jurassic World Rebirth Borrows This Idea From Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur hybrids are nothing new to the Jurassic World franchise. Multiple creatures in the parks possessed DNA from other living creatures.

However, the first dinosaur hybrid “mistake” actually occurred in Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. The Scorpios Rex was too much of a danger to display alongside the other dinosaurs in the Jurassic World park. The Scorpios Rex was highly aggressive toward other dinosaurs or humans. Plus, it could shoot its venomous porcupine quills.

Ultimately, this became one of the creatures wreaking havoc on Isla Nublar in Camp Cretaceous. Interestingly, it never appeared in any of the films or the animated sequel series. This idea of dinosaur hybrid “mistakes” that were too ugly or dangerous for the parks later served as the foundation of Jurassic World Rebirth.

They arrive at the island where all the undesirable dinosaurs are kept, and at the end of Jurassic World Rebirth, the characters face off against a dinosaur hybrid that truly looks more like a monster. The Dinosaur Smuggling Is A Wider-Spread Issue Black Market Dinosaur Sales Stretch Across The Globe Given the dangers of dinosaurs and their potential uses as weapons, it makes complete and total sense that a dinosaur black market would form.

The illegal dinosaur market in Malta briefly appears in Jurassic World Dominion, but it is presented almost like a small-scale issue. It isn’t clear that this is happening systematically across the globe. Jurassic World: Chaos Theory expands on the concept of the Malta market, showing how the dinosaur sales operation works, who is in charge, how they track sales, how they transport dinosaurs, and so much more.

The show even reveals that members of the DPW are working on the illegal dinosaur trade to help pay the bills. Luckily, Brooklyn goes undercover, learning all the logistics from the inside. It’s essentially a conspiracy theory that turns out to be true and more widespread than anyone thought. The dinosaurs getting trafficked are treated inhumanely, locked in cages, and shipped in cargo planes.

Luckily, Brooklynn and her friends work together to take the whole thing down. Soyona Santos Is Much More Powerful Than She Seems Santos Is One Of The Most Powerful Jurassic World Characters I helped lead coverage for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory from start to finish, and I couldn't wait to see what they did with the show. Luckily, they pulled together an exciting plot, especially for Brooklynn.

Her entire goal throughout Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is to find the broker responsible for the illegal trade of dinosaurs and stop them from continuing the operation. In a major surprise that, honestly, makes sense in retrospect, Soyona Santos is the broker. She is the one arranging all the illegal dinosaur trades, even if she isn’t the one creating or training the hybrid dinosaurs.

Considering it happens on a global level, Soyona Santos clearly has a lot more power than she seemed when she first appeared in Jurassic World Dominion. She isn’t just arranging the Malta market. She’s making sure that dinosaurs are shipped all across the world. What’s more, she’s instructing others to make hybrid dinosaurs that are genetically catered towards a goal – namely, dinosaur warfare.

They are starting a support network for the agricultural businesses harmed by the locusts. Plus, they are rebuilding the Biosyn Preserve. His willingness not only to admit fault but also to try to make it right makes him one of the most interesting and nuanced characters in the Jurassic World franchise.

Henry Wu Continues Working To Repair The Damage After Dominion Henry Wu Feels True Remorse For His Actions In Jurassic World, Henry Wu is a bad guy who wasn’t actually all that bad. He set multiple terrible things in motion. Without him, there wouldn’t be most of the Jurassic Park franchise.

However, he eventually realized what a big mistake he had made. As such, he's a unique villain. Jurassic World Dominion shows Henry Wu trying to make up for his bad deeds by studying Beta and Maisie’s DNA to help counteract the locusts.

However, that’s not where his story ends. At the very end of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 4, the show reveals that he is working with Darius and the other Nublar Six to fix the damage he caused with Project Therapod Axis. They are starting a support network for the agricultural businesses harmed by the locusts. Plus, they are rebuilding the Biosyn Preserve.

His willingness not only to admit fault but also to try to make it right makes him one of the most interesting and nuanced characters in the Jurassic World franchise.
