WOOSTER , Ohio - Ohio State Fire Marshals and Wooster Fire Department are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a November arson.On Nov. 26, firefighters rescued a person trapped in the basement of a house fire on W. North Street just before 5 p.m.
According to a post on Facebook, both Wooster Fire Department and Ohio State Marshals classified the fire as arson. Wooster Fire, the Ohio State Fire Marshal and the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee are offering $5,000 for information. When firefighters arrived at the two-story home around 5 p.m., they said they found heavy fire and smoke.The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to Wooster Community Hospital.The home is a total loss, according to Wooster Fire.
