5G service with added features by end-March, says fahmi_fadzil
Its minister, Fahmi Fadzil, said DNB is evaluating its options to ensure that 5G services can be rolled out across the country. “We want to make sure there will be no negative effects on the nation’s finances, and we hope by 2025, there will be at least 80% in populated areas,” he said on Bernama TV last night.DNB, which is 100% owned by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated , is responsible for building and managing the 5G network and acts as the single wholesale provider of 5G services.
On data security and online scams, Fahmi said the ministry hopes to turn the personal data protection department into a statutory body to carry out its functions more efficiently. He said it will be among the key agencies helping the public to keep their data secure.“For example, if I issue a cash cheque, the bank will call for confirmation … that is the process.
