ILOILO CITY – Police arrested 502 wanted persons in Western Visayas last May.
The Police Regional Office-6 said 77 were classified as most wanted persons while the remaining 425 were considered other wanted persons .
"Congratulations and keep up the good work. Let us work harder to look for the remaining wanted persons in the region,” said PRO-6 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky. “We will not stop until they are all accounted for,” added Wanky. The Iloilo Police Provincial Office caught 21 MWPs, 17 by the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office , nine by the Antique Police Provincial Office , nine by the Capiz Police Provincial Office , seven by the Bacolod City Police Office , five by the Iloilo City Police Office , four by the Guimaras Police Provincial Office , three by the Aklan Police Provincial Office , and two by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-6 .
The NOCCPO nabbed 210 OWPs, 71 by the IPPO, 33 by BCPO, 32 by AntPPO, 30 by ICPO, 23 by CPPO, 17 by AkPPO, six by the Regional Mobile Force Battalion -6, three by the CIDG-6, and one by GPPO. Three-hundred ninety-three persons were arrested for illegal gambling in Western Visayas and more than P153,000 in bet money was seized in 147 police operations.
